I started running my business with my parents direct involvement on the front line and then encouraged my husband when he was made redundant to join the team instead of going back to work in Engineering. We now also have our children helping out in this Irish family run business.
The business began in my parents home, then moved into a warehouse for online and now we have 3 wonderful shops with amazing staff.
We are the owners of the first online pet shop in Ireland and only themed pet shop in Ireland (Drogheda)

For as long as I can remember, caring for animals – and having lots of fun with them! – has been my bliss.
Back when I was a teenager, I was helping-out at rescue centres, transporting dogs, fostering, fundraising and much much more. It gave me a sense of purpose in my life. There was (and still is) so much cruelty to pets and I like to think a little bit of help is better than none at all.
Hold that thought, and fast forward to the early 2000s. eCommerce was shiny and new, but I was struggling to get as excited about writing programming code in my job as I was about caring for animals. So, I started to wonder…Could I launch an online version of my dream pet shop and bring cool, new products to Irish pet owners as well as continue giving back to the rescue centres and be the first online pet shop in Ireland ?
Pet Bliss’s name came from wanting pets to have a place that would be their total and complete bliss.
